My partner & I have just recently started having to face long distance & this app has been such a breath of fresh air!! I looove the idea of love languages (though I’m very even & think they are ALL IMPORTANT) I do know for some, it’s very polar. So to assess ourselves for the other to see what we lean on really does help. & then I made my task list of things I can do from afar that touch on his top 3 & minorly on the other two. It is SOOOOOO HELPFUL to have a list on hand to work from to ponder over & think - hmm these I can do EVERYDAY & these might be fun surprises to really make him feel loved. I hope he uses it too cause I feel most loved when my partner just puts in the extra effort to make me feel thought about & little games or ways to connect, small or big, makes me feel safe, secure, & wanted. So THANK YOU for such a lovely app to accompany your book/philosophy & anyone getting it will in the least have a new way to communicate love better to their partner once you both take the short assessment.. love languages, the gottman readings, & attachment styles are to me the top 3 ways to learn about healthy care, habits, communication, & conflict management with your partner!! For anyone who knows anything about the 5 love languages, this is such a practical, effective resource to use to apply them in your everyday life. As I’m sure many women can relate, a lot of times I expect my husband to know what I need it how I’m feeling without me telling him, but when he’s not intuitive to that and doesn’t act or do what I’m expecting, I’m left disappointed over something I never expressed a need for. I admit it’s confusing and makes things frustrating but often I’m too prideful to admit what I need because I don’t want to appear needY A tool like this allows him (and vice versa) to have an idea of how I need to be loved, how much I’m feeling loved at the moment, and practical ways to apply it along with goals to reach. If you don’t speak or have the same love language as your partner, use this. Highly effective, and is an everyday part of our marriage. Side note: when using the love tank feature, don’t take it personally if the other person’s meter goes down. It’s not a personal attack on you, it’s not a passive aggressive note from your spouse (or at least don’t use it that way), it’s simply a way to gauge where they’re at in feeling loved. Let it be an objective way to have insight on them and you. It can really be a great thing...don’t get hurt if it goes down. Just take it as a fun prod to like inwardly and say “How can I make it go back up or even to 100? How can I fill their love tank?”

This app has such a great heart behind it, but some practical changes to it would be great, make it not just for couples! Linking with your partner is great, but allow us to link with friends and family and have a forum board where we can see group connections, that way with leaders we’d be able to see if they’re getting the same input as outflow! Have a profile section where it’s easy to see all the people you follow, where their stats show up and how they’ve been loving others that way it encourages accountability. On the forum board if both you and your partner have been at 100% have an unlockable feature that allows you to post about your beautiful date with a photo or paragraph about what you did so others can get ideas for how to love their partners. Maybe a partner will see that their friend does a great job at loving their partner by spending quality time with them and then they have a better clue as to what really helps them, that way it eliminates the risk of passive aggressive inputs of 10% full love tanks. On the scale have a little guide to say 10% (i’m running low) 50% (i’m doing good but could use more love) 70% (i’m content, your efforts are amazing) 100% (this is the best love i’ve felt) that way there’s a guide that the couple can already use and it isn’t misinterpreted in any way. On other apps Resources are normally on the right side of the bar on the bottom of the page (it’s like an unspoken rule) and on the left is usually where the “forum” page would go. Thank you for making this app a thing it’s perfect for long distance relationships, and the suggestions for goals are amazing !!!
