Kochi1-From KMRL & Axis Bank

I am a daily traveler and use the Kochi1 Smart Card. I am facing the following issues: When I recharge online, the amount is added to the card-e balance but does not reflect in the card chip balance. To update the card chip balance, I have to visit the customer service near the gate, which takes too much time, especially if others are also updating their cards or getting new cards. The card is called the Kochi1 Smart Card, but based on the current standard operating procedures, it doesn’t seem very 'smart' in terms of usage. You are asking customers to queue up in front of customer service, which is inconvenient. It would be better to update the application so that the money can be directly added to the card chip balance.

The app is not at all user friendly. Login and Sign up screens are a mess! Phone number input field is blank even after entering the number. Doesn’t read OTPs correctly. The ticket booking works sometime and gets stuck at other. The QR loading works only if you are at luck. I got lucky to go through all of these and got a ticket myself and got on the metro only to find myself trapped at the exit gate because the app crashed and not letting me even login to it. My friend had to take another ticket in the que again as his didn’t even let him enter the station and marked his ticket expired before he could even get inside. Almost missed my train because I was super late. Not installing the app ever again… NEVER AGAIN!!!

The app allows ticket purchases only till Petta even now. Sadly the developers seem to have not been notified of the new stations being opened. The app hardly works on 4G network and almost always requires wi-fi connectivity. This is inconvenient to anyone on the move & will discourage regular use. Pull up your socks guys. Get more friendly and simple!
