A step backwards
In the year 2025, it’s truly baffling that we are still grappling with the archaic concept of gender-locked classes in video games. Karnak manages to be a glaring example of how the industry can still fall prey to outdated practices that alienate a significant portion of its player base. The developers seem to have missed the memo that inclusivity and player freedom are not just trends, but essential components of modern gaming. It took me 15 seconds to install get to the character creation screen and delete, this is just lazy development. I urge you to look elsewhere. Let’s hope that the developers take a hard look at their choices and realize that the future of gaming is about breaking barriers, not reinforcing them.
