Online Yoga can be tricky to navigate and find just the right instructor. I found Jess about two years ago and love her style and skill of teaching. She embodies the true connection of mind, body and breath in her practice. Her voice guides you through the class to understand at any level, whether a new student or veteran yogi. The care she takes in creating the flows and gentle way she cues movements is truly inspiring. Her catalog of classes are impressive and challenges keep you motivated. Once you have stated a few of her classes, you will find yourself not wanting to miss a day on your mat. And appearances by Leia are a bonus. I highly recommend Jess Yoga for everyone. This is an invaluable investment in yourself.
This app has a great range of classes, and I particularly love the challenges. Jessica has a really soothing voice and the flows always leave me feeling very accomplished. I find that it’s very easy to incorporate yoga into my daily routine on the app since there’s anything from quick 15-minute flows to hour long classes. I also appreciate that you can download classes for offline use. This has really been beneficial to me when traveling so that I can keep up my practice on the go. The only thing I wish was different (and this is very minor), is for the downloads page to have its own tab. All in all, I think this app is great, especially for the value.
The app has over 100 classes. Most of them are only available with a paid subscription, but it is well worth the price. I’ve only done a dozen or so yoga classes so far, but I have loved everyone. There is plenty of variety in yoga styles, and the app makes it easy to locate a suitable class for your mood. I really like the “slow flow” classes. There are also a dozen or so guided meditations, but I think these have too much dialogue. Jessica’s voice is perfect for guided meditation, but there is just too much of it for me to get into a meditative state. I would love to see a couple of these where the first half is light dialogue (a breath or two between statements) to help me get into a meditative state and the second half is mostly quiet to allow me to just be. The yoga classes are top notch, though. Highly recommended.
