My daughter and I both bought this. On my daughter’s iPhone 11, this app doesn’t fit the screen so she couldn’t read the sentences. It also made her phone vibrate the entire time she has the app open. So we tried it on my iPhone 10. Still doesn’t work—we deleted the app from her phone and reinstalled it. Still causes the phantom vibration. If there is a way to stop the vibrating and reformat this app, it would be a useful app. It’s a shame that it’s total crap bc the content seems to be good.
The idea and the design of this app are fabulous. However, it would be a perfect one to build up vocabulary if the app comes up with a more complete list of the words. This app, however, may cover only 200 words or less. We are looking for a practical tool not to appreciate a sample.
My daughter tells me that these are exactly the words she sees on all her practice tests. She is taking the SSAT in a week--I wish I found this sooner!!!--and she really wants to do well. It's a bonus that not only is she studying the words she'll need to know on test day, but also that she's into the app, putting constructive time in, getting more confident and feeling like it's fun. That's worth a few bucks to me--especially the confident part. I never write reviews, btw, but I really like this visual approach.
