Real Logic Riddle Puzzle

So, I love logic puzzles. Specifically, somewhat difficult logic puzzles. The options on the App Store with any difficulty are vanishingly slim and I would say I’ve tried most of them. Occasionally I’ll do a search for some new ones and last time this one caught my eye. Let me be clear: I’m still playing it and really enjoying myself! The concept of a visual logic puzzle is SO cool and innovative and I love the option to filter the clues to highlight things you may have missed. However there are some issues that would benefit SO MUCH from being fixed. First, I would love an option to pay some amount of money to get rid of ads. It would be a win-win! Second, the “ranked times” for the daily challenges MUST be made up (or I am just a lot less intelligent than I thought I was and please don’t disabuse me of one of my few sources of confidence!). They usually say they’re anywhere from 2 minutes to 5 minutes to solve the highest difficulties and I just find that difficult to believe. Also, how difficult would it be to make the different elements come together in a way that makes sense, like normal logic puzzles? To tell a story of some sort? Instead it’s all these disparate things that have nothing to do with each other so in the end one of your answers looks something like, “The Swede named Claude eats mushrooms, drinks milkshakes, was treated with a microscope, plays with a Wii, wears a judge costume, and has a pet rat (etc etc etc).” Are they just procedurally generated? Come on, show some effort if you’re going to make us watch all these ads! There are other issues, but like I said, I do still play the game for now.

I’ve been playing off and on for at least 4 years. Easy and medium are good when short on time and the hard is randomly challenging enough to pull out paper and get to thinking, which I love. Different from other logic puzzles. I utilize the different tools you can use (only positive, negative clues, hide completed clues, choose specific items etc). Love that you’re not using lives or coins in order to play so I can play as little or often as the mood strikes. Can choose level and there are tons of puzzles. Only “complaint” is limited variety of items. Maybe that’s what makes it challenging because after awhile, it gets tedious and then I make mistakes. So I have to slow down and think…which I do like. But still, same items gets boring so that’s the main reason I wish there were other logic games like this one. Wish there was an option to pay for no ads. I’d pay. Still, even with ads, they’re actually much less intrusive and not as often as other games.

Easy controls, lots of puzzles available. Easy to understand clues. 5 complaints/requests: 1. You should have big puzzles that are easy and small puzzles that are hard. Sometimes I want the challenge of an insane-level puzzle but I don’t have the time. 2. You should be able to link clues, especially the X=Y kind. Say you have an X=Y clue and a Y=Z clue. You should be able to put them together into one X=Y=Z clue, where it would highlight all the Xs, Ys, and Zs. Or at least you should be able to link them together so that you can easily get from one to the other. About half my time solving these puzzles is spent updating Z (and A, and B, and C, etc.) when X=Y. 3. Consistent ordering of objects. It would be helpful if objects were ordered the same way if there are eight as they are when there are nine. This is especially confusing for the money category. 4. There should be a button on the filter page where you can select all the objects that are known. 5. You should be able to tap and hold on an image on a clue to show only clues that include that object. These 5 things would save me a lot of time when I’m solving, so I can spend less time manually selecting clues and double checking to make sure I’ve covered everything and more time thinking and solving.
