I like the graphics, I like the pictures and the moving crowd background, the gameplay is ok, get enough satisfaction out of the engine dynamics, but the thing that glaringly makes it a 4 star game probably due to not enough funding to make it a much more durable game, is the fundamentals. Such as it seems to work on a magnetism framework, so the closest figure to the action or the figure with higher personal strengths has the stronger magnetism to the target figure pictured as a ball. It really is based on some of the most basic and simple game mechanisms of today, 5 years ago when it was released that was still the case. The app product needs more improvement there are missing functions from it compared to the console version. I wish they could upgrade this app to the evolution platform, if they could do that it would be most worth it even if we had to each pay for added content, or at least create another app on a platform more like the current soccer and basketball games.

Probably better than its predecessor AFL Gold Edition but there is a lot to fix. 1 - Lag. The obvious issue is that with crowd comes a debilitating lag effect that makes the game difficult to control. 2 - Bugs. There hasn't been an update re fixing bugs which I was okay with initially, but after seeing my team run away from the ball when I switch to them for the umpteenth time I got a little bit frustrated. 3 - Realisticness. Not a word I know, but this game's AI is very basic. The same game plans are employed throughout the match. 4 - Neglect. Tru Blu, Home Entertainment Pty Ltd, Wicked Witch are not too keen on keeping this game updated or improving it. With the possibility of this game going without a 2016 update, these companies are throwing away a very good game game on iOS that could be fantastic if it was regularly updated and monitored. Don't buy this until it's updated because you'll just be throwing cash on an outdated game. Otherwise, it's very impressive and I'd recommend it. AFL Live 2 has a lot of potential and could be a fantastic game if it was consistently updated.

This game has a lot of potential. For someone who tolerated afl gold edition since 2012 I am so glad the makers of this game put AFL live 2 onto IOS. The updated team lineups, new stadiums and general gameplay is all really good. One update could fix all its major problems though, firstly the lack of a visible crowd really takes away from the gaming experience. Playing Sydney vs Hawthorn at the MCG in front of nobody really isn't as fun as it could be. Secondly there is quite a bit of lag that occurs during fast motion play which makes tackling and hand balling very difficult. These are the two major problems that if fixed would go a really long way to making this a fantastic game. Other than that its really just general gameplay and graphics that could be improved on with the release of AFL live 3. To the creators of the AFL live games please do not give up on this franchise its so close to being absolutely amazing.
