I signed up for the WPDE Weather app when I went to a hurricane preparedness meeting with ed Pietrowski in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina . I spend half my time in SC and half my time on Long Island. I was getting alerts tonight severe thunderstorm. I assumed it’s was for Myrtle till I started hearing the loud boom. to my surprise. it follows me anywhere I go excellent.

Since the update I’m alerted constantly (especially with the weather this week) with no consistency and no options other than to have the alerts on or off. I don’t need to be alerted to lightning 12 miles away for that it will start raining in 10 minutes even though it’s already raining. Can you change the alerts to a certain timeframe (rain) or distance (lightning) so my phone isn’t going off so often? Please and thank you!

I really like this app it keeps me updated with the weather and lets me know how to plan my days I really like the fact that it sends me messages when lightning is close to our area
