Zoomcar: Car rental for travel

Zoom promises a clean sanitized car, and a seamless customer experience; that statement is a joke. Arrived at the car’s location only to not find the car there, called customer service only to find out that the car is half a kilometer away. Now mind you we’re navigating narrow, dirty colony roads here. We get to a filthy car, only to find an overly rude and aggressive host. The app won’t unlock the car and the host won’t unlock it for us even after being on the phone with zoom customer service. We were then assigned a 2nd car a good 30km away. The 2nd car is filthy inside and out. We’re desperate now as every other aspect of our family trip is already booked and taken care of, so we reluctantly take possession of the car. The app is not working now, and we have to physically email the car’s pictures. We finally picked up the car at 8:15, that a good 2hrs and 15 minutes more than our original 6 am reservation. We spent a 1000 rupees to get the car thoroughly cleaned (at our expense) before we set out for our trip. This is the start of the trip and we’ll see how the rest of it goes. Zoom has nothing more than crappy, rundown, filthy taxis that they’re peddling as clean sanitized cars. We hope we’re never desperate enough to use zoom ever again, ever. Dont know what to say. Very bad experience at each and every step. 1. Issue with booking. Need to book twice and bery very bad experience. 2. Customer support is second steps, called them 6 times and every time. I was told issue will be resolved but please guess, yes no resolution given. 3. I was told that will got call back thrice but again . No call back. 4. Now when time comes for drop off. Got a call that your car is dirty from outside and inside both do you still want it. So please call support and they arrange a another car in 2-3 hours. My plan was with other family members too, dont want to delay plan so i said give me dirty car, i will clean it myself. 5. Now car i booked is 7 seater, when opened the trunk last 2 seats are not in place and not even hooked into the car, they are like floating seats, back seat rest is lying down and no way can be fixed, no seat belts and drop off person said i cant do anything please call customer care, they will arrange something in 2-3 hours and mind i am already late for a planned trip. This are few issue but rest assure these are not all. I can write a book on it but after this i dontthink zoomcar deserve any more time from me.

Zoomcar is an amazing service. It quickly and reliably allows a comfortable and convenient mode of transport at any location without overheads of driver cost. However the App needs to be suitably upgraded to account for 1) Time zone difference (I booked from outside India and was shown time zones of my outside location with corresponding Indian time so I had to cancel that trip and book again. Time of trip should be based on local time of location at which car is booked and not the time of location FROM WHERE CUSTOMER IS BOOKING. 2). Customer care should be more responsive to client problems and suggest solutions which are Customer-centric.
