I used to love Defence Health. Have been a member for years. Since their ‘IT upgrade’ every single interaction has been painful. I can forgive some teething problems, but this has been months and months and months. Tried 4 times to put my claim through the app. Timed out each time. Went through the website, took about 30 minutes as I had to enter manually for each wisdom tooth removal. Press submit, and it failed. This is just one of 4 painful claims I have made in the last 6 months. I feel so sorry for their staff who are very helpful once you get through, but this IT upgrade has been handled very poorly.
Update made it much better, UI is much cleaner now and it doesn't look like its loading a web browser every-time you open it. Just wish it had of notified me of an update rather than crashing every-time I tried to use it! EDIT: Needs a tab for completed or pending claims. Been waiting for a return for almost 3 weeks now and would like to be reassured that I submitted the claim correctly. I understand there have been recent delays and backlogs and would rather not have to call up and wait in a queue for half an hour plus to find out that it is still pending.
I’ve used this App quite successfully in the past but when I had to submit a claim yesterday, the App froze on the front screen “Mobile Claiming” and went no further. I deleted the App and reinstalled it and thankfully, it worked! BUT - this isn’t good enough! When you are on hold (on the phone) for almost an hour before you give up and hang up (without talking to a person), and when the on-line claim (on the Defence Health Website) isn’t working… need I say more?? Defence Health - get your act together!!
