Started subscribing a couple months ago, and while I love being able to watch the races in realtime, I’m constantly being tripped up by the somewhat confusing interface and way you have to select each leg and hope it’s actually the live portion of the race. There should just be a live channel that you select and watch live with races, commentary and the like without having to constantly click here and there.
And… for the love of God there needs to be more content. I would think there’s enough material on Group B to entertain fans for months alone. And there’s all the cars, the drivers, the tech, behind the scenes, the training for drivers, the factory tours, the pit tours, the personalities and everything else that could make this app / service a true value.
Until then, if you’re a rabid WRC fan, then it’s worth subscribing during races, but cancel as soon as they are over bc that’s all you get.

I was excited to see that an update was performed—the app certainly needed work, but the UI is somehow even worse than before.
I think the devs and designers need to think about why a user has this app. Is it to watch clips and highlights? For some, sure, but those probably shouldn’t be scattered throughout the homepage like the app is functioning like some sort of blog.
But to my original question, I think most people who are subscribing to a service like this are looking to either a) watch live or b) watch event replays. I can’t speak to the live section yet, but the event replay UI is awful. Now I have to either go through the home page or calendar, find the correct weekend, then scroll sideways through a tiny section that contains every video from that weekend. It’s like a tiny slideshow of 20+ videos you have to cycle through. Each video has a cut off title and, after you play it, it doesn’t remember where you left off or even tell you if you even watched the video. I tend to replay stages over the course of several days, so these would be helpful features to add. Having a more robust and focused replay area for events would be much better, rather than this super condensed afterthought. Honestly, the UI was better before and it wasn’t that great to begin with. I never leave long reviews like this but as a paying customer and a rally fan, this app is really killing the whole experience.

This is my first dive into Rally this year. Living in the U.S makes it very hard to keep up with the live events. What’s nice is being able to go back and watch all the WRC stages but it’s a shame that the media zones all disappear along with the lower class races. Now being the first weekend for WRX of the season I was hoping to watch the full event including RX2 and other classes besides the top WRX class. I was disappointed this morning to find all the hears except the top class are gone. Wish I was able to watch the full event once the subscription is. It cheap.
