I got a Zwift foot pod to use on my treadmill. It gave me a lot of trouble, I was running but nothing happened on the screen, or it wouldn’t sync at all. Lo and behold, I learned after some googling that my Zwift run pod is a Milestone run pod and I needed the Milestone app to do an update to make it work properly. How is a person supposed to know this? Then I learned that this foot pod will do all kinds of stuff like tell me my cadence and foot strike. Who knew? So, I like it a lot, but 3 stars because I might have never known what was going on with this thing if I hadn’t gone online to figure out why it wasn’t working. Also, I think it would really improve this object if you could put it on multiple shoes and track several pairs at the same time, because many runners have more than one pair of shoes.
I’ve used milestone for more than a year and find it a crucial part of my entire fitness regimen. Being conscious of heel strike, stride length, and watching how things like fatigue and even weather can effect those has reduced my discomfort and kept me on the road more than before.
I have been using the pod for a few years and I have found it to be simple to use, particularly with the latest release of software. I have compared it to my measured runs both indoors and outdoors. I have been focussing on the information which shows percentage of toe/mid/heel strike and comparing my times across two different pairs of running shoes, very insightful.
