Best game to play when you are with family and friends!
George and Avanell have been sitting across from each other at the card table for seventy years — George with his patient sandbagging and those sudden monster sets that come out of nowhere, Avanell counting every card and knowing exactly when the math turns in her favor. The game’s quiet hook is that timing and count decide everything. I wanted to bottle that. The quiet tension when the Black Queen is still out there somewhere. The way a game that looks simple on the surface becomes a shared language between people who've loved each other for a very long time. So, in honor of their 70th Wedding Anniversary, the AIs carry their names. George still holds cards too long and then dumps everything at once. Avanell counts and pounces the second the odds shift. Cousin Janice is, well, cousin Janice. They talk during the hand. They complain about their cards when they're winning. Playing against them feels like being back at the family table, where every turn comes down to reading the table and striking at the right moment. The daily hand is the same deal for everyone at midnight, with global and friends leaderboards and a streak that actually means something because it tracks the days you show up. Online play with real people works just as well, whether you want a quick match or something slower and more deliberate. Progress, achievements, and XP all sync across devices without any drama. George and Avanell, this one’s for you. Thanks for all the hands we’ve played — and for the ones still to come. Congrats to seventy years at the card table, and to many more turns together. ❤️
This game is very well made and hits the sweet spot. I had never enjoyed Black Queen before and now I can’t stop. Recommend highly
Black Queen is a ruthless rummy-style card game. Lay down sets to rack up points. But whoever's caught holding the Black Queen of Spades when a round...
