Super simple to get accounts linked and setup all the plugins you need. Helped me consolidate my entire locally hosted library, streaming services, and anime into one simple interface. Trakt and Anilist integration is great as well. Would love to see Letterboxd and MyAnimeList integrations added in the future. A niche ask would be to allow users to select fansub translations for an entire anime series. Fan translation groups release these files freely on their blog sites. Some shows like JJBA do not have official definitive subtitles due to trademark laws. Would be nice to watch shows with manga accurate subtitles that match what the VO is saying. Just a thought because missing SFX translations/censorship/dubtitles/AI subs/trademark issues continue to spread in US official distribution of anime.
This app is almost perfect— it’s really coming along. After setting up my app and customizing it the way that I would want it. There’s only a few things that are keeping me from making the jump from Omni. The built-in player for Fusion is very broken. Whether that’s because of how the app cash is content or if the player itself is just bugged, But it is often very difficult to play an entire movie or TV show all the way through without either the stream or the entire app crashing. I gave three stars instead of four because without a working player, the app is essentially useless unless you use an external player. Which to be fair most people use infuse anyway, but for me personally I like to have all of my movie watching in one place. I know that the developers can continue to work on the in app player and adjust how the app caches content like movies and TV shows, so once they can figure that out I will be making the switch from Omni to Fusion. The user interface is simply far superior.
Best media center app on iOS period. If you’re running Jellyfin, Plex, or any personal media server, Fusion is the client app you’ve been waiting for. It connects seamlessly, streams smoothly, and the interface is leaps ahead of anything else on the App Store. The customizable home screen is a standout feature hero banners, carousels, and card stacks let you build a personal streaming dashboard that actually looks like Netflix or Apple TV+, but for YOUR library. Movie tracking, TV show tracking, and watch history all sync across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV via iCloud. The built-in video player handles everything I’ve thrown at it, with the option to hand off to Infuse, VLC, or any external player. Zero ads, zero subscriptions, zero data collection. If you’re searching for a Plex client, Jellyfin client, media player, video library manager, or just the best free streaming app for iPhone this is it. The developer is incredibly active and the app keeps getting better. Download it now.
