King Arthur Baking

I used to scour the internet for recipes when I wanted to bake something new. I would then read every single review to understand all the customizations, tips and tricks readers had applied to get the recipe “just right”. With a hope and a prayer, I’d try the recipe and do my best to notate which customizations I’d applied. The recipes I find here have already been customized and tested by professionals, who also note the helpful tips and tricks to ensure my baking experience turns out perfect every time.

I couldn’t download this fast enough, but if I search for anything within my very full recipe box, it says my box is empty. Even searching through the entire KA set of recipes is dicey. I just searched for “malt” to figure out what I could use some leftover malted milk powder in and some stuff came up but it quickly just started pulling up other recipes that were unrelated. Now for nice to haves! Would love to have more curated collections on the Home Screen, particularly for seasonal bakes, or maybe y’all could start tagging them. I’m all for browsing by season and not stumbling over a holiday bake in March. Why not make bake mode a default setting like the NYT app? I’d also appreciate it if you tagged by ingredient. Id love to mark as cooked and rate in two clicks without leaving a review. The holy grail is repeating measurements within the recipe, ATK style. Hallelujah! You’d be perfect. And yes I will work for your product team, but warning my hands are covered in flour.

The app still needs a great deal of work. I will try my best to list them here: After writing a review, it prompt you to share your review to social media. However, the review is never available at that time and when the review is posted, all it does is lead to a page with no review, this is the same issue on the website. When writing a review, the media that is uploaded should show image icons not the names of the files. This used to work on the website, but changed with the latest update within the last week so now the same issue exists in the app. When uploading media to the app, a messages received that it did not upload due to a network issue. There is no connection issue currently so the issue is with the app not on my end. There is no yes or no option in the review section for recommending the recipes. This does work on the website. Using the rustic sourdough bread recipe as an example, the baked checkbox no longer can be found, but this works on the website. It is also prompting me to be the first to write a review for this when there are literally hundreds of them, but the reviews are not showing. I feel this is a good start, but there are lots of basic functions that are not working correctly in the app. I am an avid user of your website for both recipes and posting of reviews so I am very familiar with the flow and issues that currently exist. I really wish there was an easier way to work through bugs for the website and for this app.
