This app is fantastic! No ads, no gimmicks - just genuine connections with real people living real lives. It’s refreshing to find a space that feels human again.

Despite being American, I would love to see some quality apps from Europe. Perhaps someone can finally overcome the corporate AI slop of Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok. I agree, an ecosystem of European-owned social media is past overdue. However, you CANNOT expect to rival the American social media monopoly if your product underperforms. I would enjoy using this app...if it wouldn't lock me out every time I post a picture of a sunrise in the mountains. Been a month since I've been locked out for no reason, and the app still says, "Something went wrong," without providing further information.

The app is interesting and I like that it doesn’t have ads, doesn’t have shorts, and isn’t full of the stuff that Meta has shoved into Instagram. That being said, I do think that the app needs work and refinement. Usability: It’s easy enough to navigate; however, when wanting to post, the image selection does not take over the whole screen nor even half, but remains at about a quarter of the screen space. This makes it somewhat difficult to view and select a desired photo. Connection: I use a VPN. Most apps work fine with the use of one, without no noticeable drop in connectivity. Monnett for some reason slows to a crawl when a VPN is in use. Instagram, Bluesky, so on function normally so this must be an issue on Monnett’s side. This makes the app nearly unusable until the VPN is turned off, which is an annoying thing to have to do. The app is a good start, but work needs to be done to convince myself and others to switch over from Instagram.
