The thing that sucked the most was the constant ads, but that I was OK with because I really liked the game. And then they just started updating it. Some things were good but it’s one of the things was how you combine the equipment. So it’s already hard enough to get the equipment so it was kind of nice that you’re able to combine whatever and get it going and they just made an Update to make it where you know you need the same pieces of equipment to combined with higher level Gear, which is incredibly difficult to get and takes Forever. I just got one piece the other day by combining two different pieces and I finally got the piece of equipment. I needed to do it for my helmet and now they done it this way, which is gonna take me forever to get there another piece of the same Gear. So I’m quitting the game and I’m just not gonna put my energy in it because it’s already hard enough to get it. They have a game going on where you have to pay rubies to do pulls. And it stopped on the higher reward and a few seconds goes by where nothing happens then it ticks over and stops on a lesser reward. Which I had plenty of the ones with different lesser rewards and it never did that. It was a pretty decent game overall, but it really drives a paid to win type of thing behind it just like any of the other games I guess but this one’s kind of making you want to do that so I appreciate being able to enjoy the game for as long as I did which was not really that long.
Since I downloaded this a few days ago I’ve been pretty satisfied with the gameplay, similar to a lot of other mobile games but the best part is you get to be your favorite characters from the walking dead. With that being said there are too many issues to actually enjoy the game to its fullest extent. The game continuously crashes. I’ll be in the middle of the loading screen for a mission or finally enter a mission and the game will crash. Upon reopening the app the energy that I used on that same mission is lost and does not return even though I didn’t lose the mission, the stupid game just crashed. You guys need to either have it to where you can continue missions where you left off or return the energy used on the mission. Another issue is the amount of energy you get a day. There is not enough energy a day to keep you wanting to play the game, you play 6 matches with the initial 30 energy you get then you can get another 15 for watching adds but that still isn’t enough. Games that stop players from playing the game because of energy or stamina usually dies because the player gets tired of waiting and puts their attention elsewhere, a way to fix this issue to is either add infinite adds that players can watch to continuously replenish energy or add a system where you can upgrade how much base energy you have so that the capacity isn’t 30. If you fix these, this game will go a long way, too many mobile games such as this get shut down because of greed and no replay-ability
Listen, I’ve always been a fan of the walking dead as well as rogue lite games like this, so I was actually excited to see TWD just did this! However, I’m pretty strict on which games gets my money, one of my rules (personally) I do not spend money on games that’s passively earning from forced ads… I’m sorry but this kind of game, should not have forced ads. Archero didn’t do it; they was a small time company and made it pretty big, even made a sequel without ads. I’m sorry but I’m almost tempted to delete the game already, I’m really enjoying the gameplay, I think it needs a little work, but overall I’m happy to say the game itself is really good and I actually almost bought Rick, but wanted to wait to see how everything is.. then that ad hit me… yes, 15 seconds bothers me. I’m a parent with very limited play time. Please, just get rid of the ads. I’m not sure if AMC is supporting the game but I know y’all make enough money to not force it. Keep the optional ads those are fine, that’s a choice. But forced ads cause irritation to everyone. I’m not tryna tell y’all what to do exactly but please take my comment into consideration, this kind of game does not need forced ads. We will spend money for progression. Like seriously.. was very disappointed to see the ads.
