EV13 - Light meter app

This app is beautifully designed and a joy to use - it’s my go to light meter app now after trying nearly every other app. Would love to see a shutter priority mode by locking in the aperture while on auto shutter.

Not only is the product and tech great, but the developers attention to detail is unmatched! From haptics, micro animations and sounds, to even little Easter egg menus! you can feel the love and passion put into developing and designing this app, truly a pleasure to use

Because you enjoy the act itself - touching the camera, adjusting the aperture, turning a dial - participating in a process where the outcome almost doesn’t matter. Some people fully immerse themselves in this experience through analog cameras; others spend hours processing RAW files on their phones. To outsiders, it might seem like a pointless use of time - but to you, it means something. You are the result of that process. Now, let’s talk about EV13. This app isn’t really for taking photos. Maybe it’ll help someone who needs a light meter. Maybe it won’t. But what it does do is bring together all the simple, tactile, intuitive pleasures of operating a camera - and put them in one place. If you’re a so-called professional getting chewed out by a furious bride over missed wedding photos, then go ahead and delete this app. But if your photography isn’t about praise, or profit, or even purpose - If it’s about honoring the beauty of meaninglessness itself - Then EV13 might be exactly for you.
