Awake: Smart Alarm Clock

This app is awesome! I’ve been subscribed to Structured Pro (their other app) for years now so when Awake came out, I had to try it. Even the simpler alarms are annoying enough to wake me up (that’s their job), and the weather report in my morning briefing is very useful. Also, people need to notice their impeccable customer service! Almost every review here is followed by a developer response. They are actually listening to us! This app and Structured are the perfect duo for productivity. But I have been wondering: in my morning briefing, there is a widget to rate how well you slept. Every morning, however, it says “Sleep Data Unavailable”. I’m not sure why. Small bug aside, this is surely a five star rating. The app is a great idea executed well and it is worth paying for!

I recently downloaded the app “structured” from this brand and liked it, so when it suggested I also use their app “awake” I jumped right on it and paid for a year subscription. In theory this app is a great idea…if only it worked. Nine times out of ten I have issues with the morning alarm. Most of the time it’s an issue with the mission/puzzle not popping up and then the alarm will just keep going off again and again because you HAVE to complete the mission for the alarm to stop. Other times I complete the mission and the “I’m awake” button won’t register that I’m clicking it. So again, the alarm won’t stop going off. I’ve also had days where the alarm didn’t even go off at all. Thankfully I work from home so it wasn’t a huge issue for me, but that is not something you want in a morning alarm…… don’t waste your money.

Awesome app I really like it and it helps me get up. However one thing there’s this weird bug where the Dynamic Island shows a permanent black live activity for this app. It’s just a black circle but every time I click it it always takes me to this app and it prevents other live activities and most times when my phone is in my pocket and later I take it out this app is always open. Hope this gets fixed. Great app either way just wanted to let you know :)
