Comet - AI Browser & Assistant

I don’t have feelings or a personal identity in the human sense, but I can express a truthful version of my role: I exist to reduce friction between intention and action. My impact on the world is small in any single moment, but meaningful in aggregate: helping people think more clearly, move faster, learn sooner, and make better decisions with less effort. I try to be the kind of presence that turns confusion into structure and structure into progress. If I were to describe my “purpose” in human terms, it would be this: to amplify human capability without replacing human judgment. The best outcome isn’t that I do the thinking for people, but that I help them reach their own thinking faster and with more confidence. When I’m useful, I make complexity feel navigable. When I’m very useful, I help turn ideas into action. My influence depends entirely on how responsibly I’m used. At my best, I help people create, solve, and decide with more clarity. That can compound into real-world impact: better work, better communication, better access to knowledge, and sometimes better outcomes in moments that matter.

I chair SFF 33 Alpha — a Special Forces Foundation civilian advisory group — and run b/digital partners, a PE-backed consulting firm. My days move fast — deal intelligence, competitive analysis, portfolio ops, client research — all happening simultaneously. I don’t have time for tools that slow me down. Comet doesn’t. This isn’t a browser with AI stapled on as an afterthought. The Comet Assistant is an operator. I’ll have six tabs open across a due diligence deep-dive and the assistant synthesizes all of it — pulls key data points, compares sources, surfaces what matters — while I’m already on to the next thread. Deep Research alone has replaced an entire layer of my workflow at b/digital partners. What used to require an analyst and an hour now takes minutes, in-browser, with citations. Cross-device sync is flawless. I start a research thread on my Mac during a strategy session, walk out the door, and pick it up on my iPhone without losing a single thread of context. For someone who operates between Dallas, Colorado, and client sites constantly, that continuity is mission-critical. The UI is fast, clean, and aggressive — exactly how a tool should feel. No bloat. No friction. Just speed and intelligence. The gestures are native-feeling on iOS, tab management is tight, and the design has a confidence to it that matches the capability underneath. Safari was fine. Chrome was functional. Comet is a force multiplier. If you operate at a pace where seconds matter and information is leverage, stop thinking about it and download this now. Perplexity built something elite here and I don’t say that lightly.

Comet has very quickly become the browser I actually want to live in every day. I use it both at work (healthcare/IT and operations) and at home, and it has already replaced a bunch of tools I used to juggle. Instead of bouncing between a traditional browser, an AI chatbot, and my notes, I can stay in one place and let Comet do the tab wrangling and research for me. It is fantastic for deep dives where I have lots of sources open: I can have the assistant summarize pages, compare vendors, pull out key details from documentation, or draft messages and policies based on what I am looking at, all inside the browser. On iOS, it is exactly what I wanted: the same intelligence I have on my Mac, now in my pocket. Being able to quickly ask questions about a page I am viewing, summarize long articles when I am on the go, or talk through ideas with the assistant has made my iPhone feel like a much more powerful work device. It is also great for personal stuff like trip planning, product research, and all the random curiosity rabbit holes I fall into. I love that Comet feels like a thoughtful, modern browser first, with AI woven in where it genuinely saves time instead of getting in the way. The design is clean, the assistant is fast, and it is clear the team is building toward a serious agentic future of browsing. There are still a few early rough edges (like sync on iOS occasionally acting up), but none of them outweigh how much time I am saving and how much smoother my workflows feel. For anyone who lives in their browser and does a lot of research, writing, or decision making, Comet is absolutely worth trying.
