I love the features of this planner. It is the closest to how I set up my bullet journal. Being able to replan tasks (and decide whether they are valuable anymore) or pop them to an inbox so I can clear them out of my metal clutter but not lose them entirely are excellent features. I love the idea of “energy expenditure” as it forces me to really consider whether I will have the energy for something, not just the time. If I run out of steam before finishing all my duties in a day, I can make a more realistic plan in the future, given energy constraints, rather than kicking myself for being “lazy.” So important for mental health AND for getting the work done. The UI is excellent. I enter things into my Apple Calendar and then use Structured to check things off through the day, so I have noticed two items which might improve this further: I wish it could pull travel time from my Calendar, so that I don’t add tasks into space where I need to be driving; and it would be nice to be able to add an unexpected event or task (let’s say run to the grocery store for 30 mins) and have everything bump forward accordingly, rather than having to hand slide it to eliminate overlaps. If this were added, having some events able to be toggled as “locked” and un-bumpable would be important (for example, a class that happens at a certain time). Otherwise, really outstanding planner. Thoughtful updates and amazing attention to details that work well for ADHD brains!
I love this app. I have been using it for the past few months, and I am on the Yearly Plan, soon to hop to the lifetime because I absolutely love it. It is pretty simple to use, and I love that there are time bubbles, a fun feature I tried to find in MANY other apps but unable to. I also love how customizable the app is, down to the icon, because aesthetic for my tasks is weirdly important to me. While the free version isn’t the best, that is because they want to sell the app, not your information, which is where a lot of other “free” apps get their money. And I love this new update they added to the interface, it is very nice! It is also EXTREMELY mobile friendly, with fun and unique ways to make tasks, like a time wheel and personalized icons. There are only really two things I would like changed, though. The cycle tracker, for whatever reason, marks the period part as one day, so it messes with its synchronization, and there is no way for me to manually fix it. It would be nice if I could manually input data into the app so it could work from there. I would also LOVE if I could share my schedule with other people on the app, so they could see what I have going on, since you can already sync it with your email. But other than those two things this app is perfect for my needs and ENTIRELY worth the money.
I’ve been using this app as a tool for about a month and a half now. I have ADHD, as many people who use this do. I’ve struggled with executive dysfunction and periods of depression for years. I am a person with loads of ideas, but time management has been a problem area for me for as long as I can remember and I’ve had an extremely difficult time following through on those ideas. Your habits determine your destiny, I’ve known this to be true. I’ve tried calendar apps, paper planners, set alarms on my phone- you name it, I’ve tried it. Nothing has ever worked for me the way this app has. Everything about the simple and attractive layout, the option to choose colors for different time blocks in which you set your tasks, the cute little sound it makes when you check something off— it was designed for a low-dopamine brain. I feel motivated, I feel empowered, I feel productive. I even block out time to rest and take care of myself. I have things to look forward to every day because I spend about 15 minutes the night before planning out the next one. The structure gives me a reason to get out of bed in the morning. And because of this, I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I never knew a simple app on your phone could transform your life the way this has. To the creators of Structured, thank you.
I'm only a few days into using this, but it has already made a massive impact on my time management. It is exactly what I needed. Being able to black my day out and see where my time goes electronically and having that sync across all my devices (including widgets) just made my life so much easier. That being said, there are a few tweak that could be made to the interface to make planning my day out less tedious. There are just too many mouse clicks involved in creating a task. The duration area could use an additional row - I often have tasks lasting more than 1.5 hours; I would like more default color options (instead of having to go to color picker so often) and the ability to customize the default colors themselves. On the main page, sliding my tasks around can sometimes be frustrating - they don't seem to "stick" where I want them to go, and the ability to extend the length of the task by clicking and dragging the top and bottom of my task bubbles would be wonderful instead of having to open the task up to adjust the duration. Lastly, the AI feature is pretty neat, however, once the list is created there is no option to edit what AI came up with without first adding the events to your day. Then you have to go tweak there. The initial page after AI creates your tasks really does need to be editable. Also an "add all" button on that page would be great. Overall, just an amazing program though. I sure hope they continue to develop and streamline some of the process though.
Whenever I am about to download an app I always try to read the reviews to see if what I am getting is really worth the storage space. I got this app after reading the positive reviews and was most certainly impressed. This is an honest review free of any bias. Lately, it seems that all of the apps out there are after money, constantly asking for ridiculous amounts of money just for you to be able to use their “free” app. On this app their is a daily planning workspace that is completely free of charge, with most things on thee space free of charge as well. I do wish, however, that you were able to choose different wake-up times depending on the day. Almost all of the symbols (used as a picture for your event) are free, which I really love, and you are freely able to change the color of said symbols. There are unlimited events in a day, so you could make a new one every minute if liked. But beware, this app does NOT offer free monthly planning. I’m order to have access to the monthly calendar you do have to pay a fee. It is not large, about 4p10 dollars a year I believe, and it does have a lifetime payment of about $30, which I am always very fond of. Of course, I always wish that every app was completely free, hence the four stars, but it is what is is. Overall I really enjoy using this app, and I may even end up paying the lifetime fee in the long run. It is probably the best app out there for busy schedules.
I have ADHD and have probably spend hundreds of $$ on planners just to use them for a few weeks and then forget they exist. I started a new job in September after graduating college in May and I am on my Mac for my job all the time. This app is finally a Planner I won't forget about. I can leave it open on my screen and it follows me along through my work tasks for the day. Plus I get to check tasks off as I complete them, which I LOVE because dopamine is the ruler of my ADHD brain. I love all the color options because I can color coordinate to my hearts content. One of my favorite features of this app is the Inbox. I have so many fleeting thoughts thoughout the day and sometimes those thoughts have nothing to do with what I am currently working on. When I get the random thought about needing to order groceries some time in the next week or pay a bill before the end of the month, I can quickly create a task in the app and leave it in the "Inbox" space. Then when I am ready and decide what day and time I want to schedule that task for I can go back in and edit that task and schedule it where I want it. Its the perfect idea for having a pending to-do list right next to my daily tasks. Then on days when I finish my daily tasks for the day quicker then planned I can check my Inbox and see if there is anything I need to do that i can schedule into my day. I also love the one time purchase option instead of subscription. I HATE subscrition based apps. I'd rather pay once and have it forever. Please keep your one-time payment option!
