I have loved these games for years now and have played 1-9, while I have always struggled with some puzzles I was able to either watch an add for coins or look up instructions online which were a saving grace. In every game I have faced the issue of the game not allowing me to click on the free coins by watching an ad button, but usually waiting a little and turning it back on fixes it. This is not the case now however as I have tried for several days in a row to use it and it fails every time. When I click the button it doesn’t even register that I clicked it. This, combined with the ridiculously difficult puzzles that have now added variance to make it next to impossible to find the puzzles online and get past them to continue the story. I have had 4 people look at the shield arraigning puzzle, some for 30+ minutes and no one was able to solve it. One person even found a glitch where the bottom row of shields would shift around a space leading us to believe that this puzzle was physically unsolvable. I have loved these games for so long and I truly want to be able to play them even if the quality has gone down from previous games, but I don’t think I will be able to continue as the game has soft locked me. I sincerely hope that the quality of this series improves again or that these issues can be remedied, but if not I don’t believe I will be able to play these games anymore.
I “was” a fan of Lost Lands 1-6(and halfway through 7), but realized I couldn’t get any further past the Temple. 1-6 reviews were a constant 4.8(some were at a point were 4.9). So for the heck of it, I read the reviews for Lost Lands 8-10(these 3 I had downloaded to play later), read what seemed a continuous theme in these reviews that weren’t in reviews in Lost Lands 1-6, from using to many hints(that still didn’t help), to not getting enough hints. To using to my coins, to not getting enough coins. To continuously going back, and forth over and over again. With no results. Items there, or not there depending if you progressed or not. Ads, then no Ads. To the stories have to much dialogue, especially during being timed?? This all sounds very confusing, and frustrating after playing 1-6(that were the best adventure puzzles). But the developers we’re getting less creative, and more “how can we incorporate more spending into the game”. To insert more ideas on how to make more money, and less imagination to your game is basically saying, your trying to squeeze juice out of a turnip, and hoping to get the same results. If it wasn’t for countless fake 5 star reviews from 7-10, your games would probably rate as a 4.1. Last thing, I will not be playing 8-10, I will be deleting thing. Thanks for the great work on 1-6, and no thanks for putting out 7-10.
I love this kind of game, which out of all the companies who makes them, Five BN stands out as the best. The Lost Lands series stands out among their other game series (though some lost lands games aren’t as fun as the others), though you really can’t go wrong with any of their games. I know that the main character is old but I really hope they continue it with the adventures of Kiana, and that when they do they stick with this format rather than the chapter by chapter format because this format where you have to remember things from locations ago, is what makes it harder. I also like that their mini-games are more difficult than other games like these that feel like the mini games are for elementary school kids instead of adults. I also like how long it takes to play the game. For those who want it easier, maybe there could be different difficulty levels because I don’t want the games any easier! Even the mini games that are super hard, I learned if they’re TOO hard, and take too long, then you’re doing it wrong. Someone mentioned how upset they were about the human sacrifice in this game, but I thought it was done well and added new stakes for the characters as well as we got to see a new location we haven’t been to before. It’s not like they were sacrificing some random person. These games have ALWAYS been a little dark so what did this person think they were playing???? Another person was upset that you have to pay, but that’s only for the collectors edition, which gives you free skips and hints and a strategy guide. But the free version still gives you the full game, you just have to watch ads for skips and hints. I feel you get a reasonable amount of points per ad. Also, what do they expect??? The company to put all the money into developing such awesome games and then not making any money on it???? They DESERVE the money. I can’t stand people who think they should get everything free.
