Skating Rink Story

I played about fifteen or so of the Kairosoft games when they first came in English to iOS then got out of the habit as I started playing different games in landscape mode on my iPad. Being between games currently, figured I’d dip back into Kairosoft for the first time in a decade and Figure Skating didn’t disappoint. Not only did it have a landscape mode but other QOL improvements such as a toggle to mass arrange the placement of facilities and the Item/facility indicators showing effectiveness also helped. I did like the skating program mechanic too. Also the translation quality really improved. The game did feel easier/more forgiving than the older titles and I was able to unlock everything except all the recipes and beat it the first time. Placement seemed to matter less than other titles and I did miss the ability to provide combinations. Still I had a lot of fun and I’m glad the devs and community are still thriving.

I was a little late to the party on this one I was coming to buy TV Studio Story and I had to look twice and there it was Skating Rink Story. I was like I have to play this after playing the pro wrestling story which you made come true thank you very appreciated for that. I’m very excited for your next one thank you and soon buying the TV Studio Story.

Love the new idea, well executed, though I seem to have performance issues on my iPhone 15Pro. Nothing game breaking, just stuttering frame rates. After an hour or so of playing this I had an idea for another kairosoft game. A Roller rink themed sim, where you could have themes, and for competitions, there’s always Roller Derby to keep it exciting.
