The Unplugged Network

Tried this app for a bit and wanted to get in on the “ground floor” after seeing promoted posts on Instagram. It’s better than your average dating app since it’s more of a community like a Discord server than a true dating app. I like that. I realize they had payment processing issues, but it was probably better when there was a nominal cost to sign up (it was like $12/mo which was enough to deter unserious people but low enough to not be prohibitively expensive). And while it bills itself for conservative traditional Christians, you’ll still have all the same problems with any online dating experience, which isn’t Unplugged’s fault. It’s the nature of the beast that is online dating. I’m speaking from a hopeless romantic guy’s perspective, but unless you’re a 8+/10, unvaccinated, and basically a Biblical scholar, you’re not going to meet the standards of most women here. I won’t go into my personal stories here but I was a bit disappointed. No fault of the developers of this app, but don’t expect this to be the magic bullet to fix dating in 2025. Instead, put away your phone, join a traditional church, and get involved.

The app launched barely two months ago. Of course it's going to have growing pains, bugs, and glitches at the beginning. The developers are communicative, and have made many improvements. Like any new platform- it takes time to learn their nuances, and how to navigate. I like the social aspect of the app. It is conducive to slowing down, getting to know people, and being in "public" while doing so. I think the makers of this platform are doing a good work. I pray they receive many blessings. There is no place for hook-up-culture around there. It's refreshing. Also, it is a global app, so yes, people are spread out, and maybe there aren't many matches in some areas. More people will join, the app will grow. Patience.

I’m not really a dating app user, downloaded Holy (which was supposed to be one of the good ones) a while ago and deleted it less than 24 hours later. I’m EXTREMELY picky with dating apps. With Holy I felt alone, between what felt like fishing for men, and not having a community of people who are looking for similar things. Unplugged is so different imagine a platform with multiple group chats. That’s what uplugged is like. I’ve only been on her for 24 and the women’s support is absolutely incredible!! I don’t feel like I’m “fishing for men,” it’s very communal. It’s as they’ve said “reject the hookup culture.” If your looking to find a husband ASAP this might not be the app for you but if your looking to find your best friend for life + a great support of women who could potentially become really great friends then THIS IS the app for you! There’s obviously know promises you’ll find a husband but if the Lord wills it to be then it’ll happen. This is the BEST “dating” app there is out there! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If I could give 100 stars I would!
