Daze - Freeform Chat

This messenger is very cool, I've been using it for about two weeks, to be honest, it's just awesome, but there are a couple of improvement options that I think will help you develop, or just improve communication for current users. 1. add more things to profile editing, banners, personal bio writing, stories. 2. favorites section for gifs and photos (recently used it's cool, but I want to add other gifs to your favorites that you don't use so often). 3.if u can,connect the gif/photo search engine to google for more pics about it. upgrade your app,add more specifics and stuff!!! we love it so much!!! 4.add a quick switch accounts,so all created accounts are saved in the application and can be changed by clicking in the settings or in the menu after u log out in some account. 5. create a channels/servers with usernames(u can watch some examples at telegram or discord)

I really like the concept behind Daze, but I’ve noticed a couple of areas where the user experience could be significantly improved. 1. Sticker Layering & Item Limitations Currently, users can’t send more than one item at a time or layer stickers on top of each other. This restricts creativity and makes it difficult to build more expressive or customized designs. Adding support for layering and sending multiple items would be a valuable enhancement. 2. Lack of Content Filtering in Image Search The image search feature does not appear to have any meaningful filtering, which makes it very easy to access inappropriate or explicit content. This is especially concerning if younger users are on the platform. Implementing a SafeSearch filter or content moderation system is essential for user safety and trust. Thanks for considering this feedback. With these improvements, Daze could become an even more engaging and safer space for all users.

Daze has some interesting chat features, but I’m not sure how useful it will be long term. It’s almost like a hybridization of Kik chat app, a juvenile social media style like Snapchat and TikTok, whiteboarding/collaboration apps, and of course ⭐️AI⭐️! (because let’s face it, how else is venture capital going to secure its funding??) The app sends and receives messages without issue, but it’s notably slower than popular social media apps, chat apps like Signal or Telegram, and slower than native phone messaging apps. The freeform messages are fun to use and send but feel a bit impractical. If Snapchat had higher customization, no ads or monetization, juvenile customizations and design language, this would be it. I’m not sure where the “AI” is in the app, and it’s never checked on me for mental health or etc, so I’m not sure where those features lie. I tried using potential trigger words in a chat with a friend to try and create an opportunity for the app to do a mental health checkup but still nothing. Overall, it’s a pretty basic standalone chat app in it’s current form with no visible integrations to any outside services or apps that would allow for kids/very young adults to chat in an unrestricted manner. It’s a cool concept but I’m not sure if the “anything goes, throw stuff at it like it’s a collage” style of messaging will hold its weight against bigger competitors. If they can create a level of seamlessness and fluidity while giving greater reason to use Daze for its ‘unrestricted’ chat style, then I think there’s a chance for this chat app to really take off. Beyond that, this app is decently well executed in its current state and has some cute features. Also, they automatically add and display your zodiac sign on your profile and I find that hilarious. Pseudoscience is necessary for your identity, it seems. It’s a no for me, but it’s a great attempt for trying to secure the young female demographic! 😂
