Simple Match 3

I have found through experience that the match 3 games that have in-app purchases have a rigged algorithm where the game, regardless of your moves, leads you to a point where you almost win the level and then offers you more chances if you make a purchase. This game you pay up front and there are NO in-app purchases. As such the game is entirely fair. If you play well you win. If you don’t, you lose. The gameplay is a simple straightforward match 3. As you play along you get power ups for advancing and reaching goals and you can change the themes of the tiles. There are no ridiculous side puzzles, growing a garden, or purchasing farm animals. The graphics are satisfying without being overwhelming. Don’t mistake “simple” for “easy”. I am up to level 65 and finding it VERY challenging. Works well on an iMac with trackpad or iPad. Easily worth what you pay for it. Thank you Mulberry Tree Games for a fair, fun, addictive match 3 game. Outstanding!!

Wow this game is phenomenal! i prefer this over its contemporaries because rather than drip feeding you unlockables and forcing you to grind this game has a satisfying gameplay loop of rewarding you with plenty of new tiles as you complete simple objectives. i’m only 13 levels in and i already have a plethora of tiles to choose from! AND the art direction is adorable! i am very curious if the developer designed these herself! I love the gradual incorporation of new mechanics as you progress through each level, it keeps things fresh and challenging. the music is lovely too and there are separate toggles for SFX and music! my only criticism is i wish there was a greater variety of rainbow tiles and power ups on the actual board, maybe additional effects could occur when you combine rainbow tiles together rather then them chaining together? regardless, this app is brilliant and completely worth the $2! thank you for your hard work!!

Really glad I purchased this game. Lots of fun for the low price. My problem with most match 3 games are the gimmicks, ads, grinding, or pay-to-win that comes with most (if not all) of them. This dev made a super clean, super fun version with none of that. You make your way through boards, winning achievements to unlock different symbol/color tiles you can use as you please. Different obstacles like gaps, blocks, fans and blobs are presented along the way that you have to navigate or destroy. Power ups are available to help when stuck. Really like that you can use a turn to move even if the move doesn’t result in a match. I set an original goal to get three stars on a level before moving on, but had to abandon that around level 70 due to seemingly impossible score objectives. I now replay every level until getting at least two stars. I got stuck on level 138 for a couple days, but wasn’t the start of an inevitable wall where even the one star targets make boards completely unsolvable. Really solid mobile game. Some small fixes to suggest would be 1) that moving a match into a T shape should result in a power up 2) a few levels said I had a obstacles remaining when the board was clear 3) having left over moves should get you more extra points toward stars and 4) leftover power ups should auto execute after 0 moves left. Currently on level 233. Great mind exerciser and time killer. Great job dev. 10/10 would recommend.
