Like other reviewers, I was excited to play this game. Unfortunately, you have to pay to unlock subsequent stages of the game. This was not clearly stated or made obvious, otherwise I wouldn’t have downloaded the game. It’s disappointing, because these series of games have real story and character building that the majority of similar games lack. I get there is a need for revenue, and they didn’t want to include ads, but that needs to be made ABUNDANTLY clear. As of now, it is not.

I love Merge Survival and when I saw this app, I was excited because it gave deeper insight into the characters in Merge Survival, such as how Eden started to survive. It also gave insight into how the current world works, like why the dust storms are such a big deal, adding to the story and the immersion. But you have to pay to get to Chapter 2 and all other chapters. Merge Survival is free, so I’m not sure why you pay for this game. It’s frustrating because I genuinely really like Merge Survival. It’s fun, it isn’t a time sucker (since you only get so much energy), I really enjoy learning about the characters within the story and I’ve learned some small tricks to cut down on my waste. The writers really thought through all the characters and story points, so it disappoints me that they’re willing to create a cash grab to just get more money.

This game is pretty fun. I found it relaxing and love the story that expands on the sister game Merge Survival: Wasteland, which I’ve enjoyed very much. But, I was very disappointed when I got to level 2 and had to pay for it. When I finish level 2 and have to continue to purchase subsequent levels, and only guessing but I think each level will cost more and more. So’ if there is a charge, I’ll delete the game. Which willl be sad because I really doo. Like this game.
