The app is a good start, but there’s plenty of updates that would make life better. The scheduling is really a pain. There are also less options I can control than with my old Sensibo (like turn off beeps, led, change display units on the head unit). I also bought this product with the understanding it would support home assistant, and use matter. It doesn’t currently, but at least it’s on the roadmap. I’d be very upset if that was dropped and I’d love to see a public roadmap to understand what progress is being made on the app and devices. If development continues at pace and quality of life features are added, this will be a much better product than the competition. It has a way to go currently.

Pretty good. Using it with three Klima mini split controllers. Setup was generally easy, though the third unit (a Fujitsu) took quite a while to find the right remote codes (the device is basically a smart IR remote with built-in WiFi. You program it through a trial and error process that involves having the device send test codes to your HVAC, and you telling the app whether the codes worked. My Mitsubishi units synced up after three or four rounds, but my Fujitsu took over 30 back-and-forths. The app is well designed, but there are bugs. The app claims it can measure your energy consumption costs, but when you manually enter your utility data, it doesn’t stick - the app won’t save the info. There are also missing features, including presence sensing and open window detection. These are shown as “coming soon,” but Klima’s sales materials don’t make their current absence entirely clear. It should. Customer service has been fine. You have to go thru their very artificial-but-not-so-intelligent automatic support tool, and after that there are time-consuming extra steps to reach a real person, but once you do they’re responsive and friendly. Overall, this is a promising solution for folks who want to remotely operate their HVAC systems.

The recent update to fix a rounding problem with F deg units did not go far enough. The setpoints for the Klima product are only allowed to be in F deg units that are equivalent to integer units of C deg. Thus, you do not have continuous integer setpoints for F deg. You are missing some integer F deg setpoints. Who does that? Also the schedule portion of the app is very restrictive. You are forced to use 6 setpoint windows. So the app will send out 6 control setpoints a day, whether you want it to or not. I would prefer to decide my own the number of desired setpoint windows. Example - I have a room that is occasionally used. When a person goes in, they set their desired room temperature. When they are leave, they cut back the room control temp. I just want one setpoint send out a day in the evening to cut back the room in the event the person using the room that day forgot to cut back the temperature setpoint when they left. This simple task can not be properly done with this app’s scheduling.
