I needed a business photo quickly for my new business cards and LinkedIn Profile update. I made sure to submit a very well lit, clear photo that I liked and really only needed my outfit and background changed. It completely changed my hair, for the worst. Different length, color and texture no matter how many I bought. I paid again and submitted a better photo. Different day, nature light, styled my hair different. The hair was better but it replaced my teeth with snaggle teeth and made my eyes big, buggy and sickly in all of the photos. NOT WORTH IT unless you’re okay throwing away money to play around. All it did was waste my time and steal my money. Adding to the developers response… I know that and I paid for several packs. After complete disbelief of how poor my second pack came out to the bad first run (after paying for the app included the first pack then purchasing another pack) I emailed the photos to customer service and the responded that there’s a disclosure that says they’re generated by computers so the results aren’t guaranteed and that they won’t issue me a refund. They didn’t even offer to add more coins or anything. They simply did not care. So I told them I would review my experience so others knew what to expect and now they’re replying about different packs. Please… I’ll use someone else.
Why isn’t my personal account info available for me to see? For example, other apps will provide your account info like the email address tied to the account, if it’s annual payments, or monthly payment, how much I’ve paid, and how much I’ll be paying. I don’t like I’m not able to give my preference ahead of time. Unable to use most of the photos generated. 50 a day is not enough when you don’t allow us to choose. Also, there are major issues with gender preference on clothing, many photos do not look like me at all and you’re still charging against my 50 a day. Overall, this has potential but needs major fixing to be done.
I decided to give this app a shot to see if it could give me a a decent LinkedIn headshot before I take a professional one. It does a pretty good job of editing you into a shot. There is a fair amount of templates to try too. It's about as good as I could've done on my own with Photoshop but it only takes about 20 seconds per photo and there's absolutely no effort on your end. Just pick a photo to wedge yourself into and the AI does all the work. The reason I give it three stars is because, no surprises here, it doesn't work with Black people's hair. There's no option to ignore certain areas of your headshot. No matter what you do, it's going to "dress up" your hair and that means you're getting a perm! It does figure out what colors will look most "natural," and goes on from there. For example, I sometimes forget I have natural highlights in my hair. The app clearly picked up on this. I was given a White men's hairstyle that did actually "look right" on my head... impressive, but no! Social norms dictate this still may be a useful tool for Black women, but Black men should definitely save their money. I paid seven dollars so you won't have to. DO NOT buy this app if you are a Black man. It's a complete waste of your time and energy. (unless you already have a perm 😂😂)
