10/10 amazing people amazing environment. A lot of my life I felt alone as someone who had autism and adhd and I felt excluded and weird and like people just put up with me because they felt they had to, I don’t feel that way with people on soft. They know what it’s like to feels that way, I can talk about my special interests and have people listen actively and support me and tell me about their special interests back and I love that.
I learned of this app through an IG post. I downloaded the no cost version initially. After I explored the app, I upgraded to the monthly subscription. The app is well thought out and full of nooks and crannies for ND’s to explore, be seen, be heard and have space held for them. I’ve found my people online and it feels like a thick, warm blanket on a cold winter day.
I was really enjoying this app until they switched the colors and background of it. When I first joined, it had a white background with black text, now it has dark gray background with light gray text with contrast that’s not great enough to be able to easily read anything. There is no option to toggle between light and dark mode, which essentially makes this app unusable for me now. I can barely read what’s there, so it hardly seems worth the time, which is unfortunate, because I was really looking for ND community and was enjoying reading the chat rooms before the switch.
Welcome to Soft: A community for empathic neurodivergent people Soft is not just an app- it's an intentional community that we're building together,...
