I really like this game. I played a lot, but I do get annoyed with the ad sometimes and I will definitely leave the app and come back later because no matter what you do there’s gonna be an ad to watch. Normally if you’re not watching an ad like for something like for a reward, you can exit the ad a lot sooner but I’ve had some ads over 100 seconds long. Crazy. I really really do not like the feature of the daily reward after you’ve collected all seven days. It does not reset at least it hasn’t for mine.. The skill tree is not very helpful at all. But I have found a few little tricks to the game that help you win easier. I seen a lot of people complaining about how the monster like targets you which is 100% true but if you can get his health low enough, he leaves your door. that only really works on the levels where there’s one Boss because once there’s two it’s like almost impossible. But still doable .They do give you a free crate at the beginning. The energy and coins are the only valuable thing if you get a shooter that’s literally worth 10 coins I just restart the Game. I do try to make it a goal to always have 15 gems going into any game. so I can collect the second supply drop. Everyone else you were playing with monsters and people are bots. so it’s a little frustrating when everybody dies off and you’re the only one left and there’s like three minutes left in the game. I mean, overall the game is fun. It’s a great concept. I just wish there was less ads or at least shorter ads and the daily reward. Actually, you know reset it after the week. And maybe they should make like an online version we can actually play with people.
Don’t know if anyone will see this review. I hope this makes it to not only the customer service team but the development/marketing team. I play my fair share of mobile games but this one was deleted pretty quickly. I’m in the marketing industry so I understand how important reviews are so I don’t want this taken as “the game is just horrible”. It has the potential to be an attention grabber. It takes too long to progress and my assumption is you’ll lose a lot of players within the first couple of days due to the difficulty. The concept is easy to understand but hard to play (and I’m and adult). It’s a free to play game so I understand the ads every once in awhile, but the way you’re going about it makes it difficult to enjoy the game itself. In my mind you want to make a free mobile game that will hook your target audience without making them feel overwhelmed by not only ads, but the game itself. And unfortunately that’s how I felt when playing this “Galactic Dorms”. I’ve seen this type of game before and there was nothing that differentiated yours from the others I’ve seen. You need that in your game… something that’s going to make you more desirable than games exactly like yours. The targeting path of the monster is overwhelming. If you want to go this way, more levels, slight increases per level. Once again I want to emphasize I didn’t make it far into the game itself but I recommend different characters that have different specialties (ex. A character that gains 1.5x coins/sec or 50% higher rate). Take this review as you please.
The general premise of the game is fun and I actually do enjoy it tho it’s part of the mobile game trend atm but the biggest problem as is everyone else’s is the ads, my god the ads, you start up the APP -> pop up ad, start a game -> ad, get targeted by all three monsters and die -> ad, get out of the ad and get to the menu -> pop up ad, which when I accidentally press because the X doesn’t work leads to another actual ad popping up over the pop up ad. And that’s just the ads, the bot pathing is just downright terrible at times since your run is based on RNG from the beggining with the free crate and if you get a shooter then you’re just screwed even getting energy on the later nights will cause you to lose if you dont want to watch an ad because of the simple fact that you get absolutely targeted by the monsters (because I’m very sure that all the other “people” are bots as well) and you get screwed over before you can do much except for those really REALLY rare moments where they finally decide you’ve had enough and leave you alone for half the night. The ONLY reason I’m rating it as high as I am with everything I’ve said is because of the simple fact that this one is actually POSSIBLE without watching the ads in game and that’s the only one I’ve found to do it. Which I’ve made it on round 5 literally ONCE because of the pathing that decides I need to suffer
