Straight Talk International

I have had so much trouble with this app. I can't seem to add contacts and favourites. It doesn't show the correct balance. I purchased 5 global calling cards with my Straight Talk rewards and nothing shows. I've tried support chats and phone calls to support and still nothing. Also the last global calling card I had didn't seem to give me anywhere like the minutes it suggests I should get for calling the UK. The chart says 5c per minute, which should be 200 minutes but I was cut off in my second phone call and the two calls did not add up to anywhere near 200 minutes. This used to be so easy...I need to call my mother often in the UK, she is 91 and frail. It's so sad and frustrating.

After the many years this company has...I expected better service and updates. It could be the corona virus season and companies not having many employees...but my balance doesn’t show correctly after days of buying international minutes, and when I use the in app “chat” to ask customer service they can’t help and it takes forever to communicate back and forth. It is very basic, but I have been able to talk for half an hour uninterrupted. And even if you have balance it doesn’t let you talk long nonstop. It is great for the price! It gives me 60 minutes for $10 when others would give me half of that.

Straight Talk definitely has the right concept but I’m not certain that they have the proper means to carry out the actual concept. I encounter bad call quality more times than I would like when calling my family. Either I can hear them crystal clear and they can’t hear me or they can hear me crystal clear and I can barely hear them during calls. I also encounter recordings from Straight Talk, when placing calls, telling me that I don’t have enough airtime to place the international call although I have more than enough minutes to place the call. I also receive recordings, when placing calls, saying that my account is restricted from making international calls. Issues like these are annoying because it cuts into the time that could be used in talking with my family along with deducting minutes although I haven’t successfully connected with my family. I hope to see an improvement in the near future when it pertains to international calling.
