Wizz Air - Book Flights

Hands down the worst airline I’ve ever flown with. Yes the tickets are cheap but the add ons are insanely expensive. I Attempted to make an online check in and It didn’t work then I had to pay extra because I couldn’t check in online. And when flying back I checked in online just to then have to Pay for my carry on luggage that the didn’t see fit as carry ons when the other flight I didn’t have this issue. Then they have these unrealistic expectations for backpack sizes and if your bag can’t fit you’ll have to pay for that as well. I attempted to make room in my bag by taking a jacket out and was told that I can only have 1 Jacket per person. All in all if it’s not 1 thing it’s another and you’ll have a way smoother experience just flying with any regular airlines, you’ll think you’re getting a good deal when in reality you’re paying more than you would’ve for additional inconveniences.

Money conscious travelers can get great fares on this airline, but as always it comes with a catch. Wizzair apps are horrendously slow, and as for scanning your passport, you’ll need a battery that lasts two days. More seasoned low fare travelers will simply fill in the details by hand. As for advertising for add ons, wizzair allows you to breeze through without asking for anything, unlike their competitors, who make you check ‘no’ to each item on an endless list of offers. All in all, a better bargain than any full cost airline, and better than many budget ones.

My husband and I took a round trip from Rome to Paris. 19 May - 26 May 2024. The App sent notifications to check in and we could not get anywhere with the site to actually check in. We were unable to get boarding passes. This was not a problem in Rome- when we checked into the desk at the airport, they gave us paper boarding passes. However, in Paris for the return trip - we still could not get the app to function for boarding passes and they charged us 80 euros for paper boarding passes. Not only that!!!! They made us take a transfer shuttle to a different terminal at the airport to get the passes. The counter desk for help at the new terminal was unmarked. - NO signage or directions! and we had to ask multiple times to get to the right counter. Then pay for a boarding pass and take the shuttle back to the right terminal to board. This process was unacceptable and there were many people on our flight with the same problem. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never!!! Never will we fly Wizz air again!!!! Nancy McEvers- Anderson John Anderson
