This game is alright, but it has real potential. It's really worth playing (for free, that is). I enjoy racing and show jumping, and think it's nice that it is a non-wifi game. If you like riding, I would suggest you to at least TRY it. A minor detail, but the drawings are fuzzy and not very lifelike. Also, I believe you should be able to water, feed, muck out and brush your horse. Care for it! And you could have a feature where if you win a race, a stablehand could deal with your ranch for a day. It'd be nice to be able to name it too. And maybe you can race with real players? 'Cuz, the fake players are almost flawless - impossible to beat, therefore becoming frustrating to younger players. Another thing - genders. The jockeys can't be girls, and I don't even know a boy who plays this! You should be able to gain money in other ways. Mini games, races, horse care, ect! Last bad thing - breeding and buying horses. But this shouldn't be a problem anymore if you fix the money issue. Please fix, app makers. And please consider my suggestions. Like I said, this game has potential. -Reveiwer Forever!
It's fun for a little while, but becomes boring quickly. More training tracks and activities, more competition tracks and I agree with others on adding cross country and dressage (especially with interesting advanced movements) would enhance the playability a lot. I have also found that it never registers any wins? Even when I report the score and win, I still have 0 wins on record. I do like that you can actually jump courses and compete without doing tedious training exercises and stable care. Most other horse games have terrible controls, looped video with no real control, or entirely too many boring activities to practice walking and turning around cones. If one were actually training a horse, that would be one thing, but I am simply looking for a fun game to simulate riding which I can no longer afford. I also have little desire to brush and feed imaginary horses to fill an imaginary energy and happiness meter, so in that respect, this game is great. Just for jollies, it would be fun to include more colors and markings for the horses, though there are already quite a few basics. Expanding this game a bit and fixing the bugs will definitely change my review to five stars!
For the most part, I love the idea of this game; it's exactly what it's name suggests: a horse jumping competition. You train it to gain stamina then enter it into a show, and it's realistic because without training, your horse won't have enough energy to jump, and it will result in a fault. You cannot change your gender, however, or the look of your horse, cannot make your own name, etc. I have a few suggestions, but some of which may be taking it too far. Because this game isn't exactly about horse care, more about jumping and racing, but here it goes: -ability to choose gender -ability to customize rider a bit more, but not that important -ability to scroll through different patterns for each horse, like a mix and match kind of thing. -show the breed of the horse (if it does I have not seen it) -show the gender of the horse, unless its only supposed to be males racing -ability to name the horse -able to name your stable -able to clean your horse/care for it -ability to name the rider -add names to the race, instead of race 1, race 2, etc. or I guess more creative then they are now. -able to upgrade stable to fit more horses Just suggestions but it might be stretching from the main point of the game :) very good game over all, and addicting, and a bit of a challenge at first, which is a good thing. The horse anatomy is pretty good as well as the animation 😄
