Parkster - Smooth parking

Been using this app as my primary source of parking tickets over the last couple years and it’s worked really smoothly. There’s only one improvement suggestion that I have: a Live Activity to show your remaining time and easily stop or extend the parking session on the lock screen would be super handy!

The app could not have been easier to use. When a location is park of the Parkster Network, you just park and use the app to record the information and accumulate the charge. If you end earlier than expected, you can adjust the departure time and reduce the cost. If you need to stay later, you can extend. One thing to note for those outside the EU, load a credit or debit card when you set up the app. If you don’t, they will invoice you. Once they invoice you, you have to pay by bank transfer and credit or debit card is not an option. They worked with me to take care of it, and I am grateful (very responsive customer service), but just a word of caution from experience.

I was forced to use this app to park in Germany in a lot used mainly by tourists—the on-site machine wouldn’t accept credit cards or cash so I had to use the app. I entered my cc info but it didn’t charge my card. Weeks later I received an email with an invoice for 5 EUR. I couldn’t understand why they didn’t charge my card so I contacted them. They said they couldn’t charge my credit card and insisted the only way to pay them was through an international bank transfer—which costs $50!!. I contacted my bank—they had never heard of anything so ridiculous. Then Parkster started assessing late fees. I checked online reviews and found a mother load of complaints about this company and the SAME EXACT ISSUE!! Do not use this app! Do not pay these blood sucking shysters!
