What’s up with it?? This app has been on my phone for years and it is always a blast..LITERALLY. Seems like yall kind of abandoned it though. There hasn’t been any new filters added since the Star Wars packs came out which let me just say🤌chefs kiss. I had a couple of ideas maybe go the Marvel/DC Route and add a feature where you can edit a person in the frame to be do like a cool power up move Or even the anime route and take it back to the Dragon Ball Z era where you could do like a super saiyan power up type of thing or even Naruto where you could use a cool jujitsu power move or something like that, Avatar the last Airbender would be cool to see as well where you could control the elements i know the Star Wars has one where the force is used but adding the feature where you as a person is using the power move would be wicked to see. I know that would mean getting into licensing and copyright stuff but it would totally bring this app back to life. Just some ideas to think about. But all in all Great App!!

I LOVE THIS APP! It’s my favorite app on my iPhone. I just love these effects that look so real! But please, can we give the app new effects and cool updates? I love the app a lot, but I am really getting bored of these effects. These Star Wars effects, Call of Duty, Star Trek Into Darkness, and everything else. So thank you SO much for Action Movie FX but please, new effects. This is a while after writing this review and still no new effects. You guys should have an option where you can import videos from your Photos app. I mean, imagine if the camera on the app wasn’t working for someone? They could just film with their regular camera and then import the video into the app. Also, I would like you to make the scrolling faster in the gallery. And whenever you exit from watching a video in the gallery, it should put you at the spot where you left off because then you have to remember where the last video you watched was then go to the next one. Overall, this app is great, but please go with the suggestions I said.

I love that there are Star Trek and Star Wars special effects, but the generic ones are in many ways more valuable as you can use them in your own films. Downsides - it doesn’t appear that you can use your existing footage, you have to be in the app and shoot to add the effect. Also the “edit timing” function just appears to move where in your timeline the effect comes in, but you can slow down or speed up the effect. Perhaps importing the final saved effect into another editor would allow this, I haven’t tried. Also to the good - you can choose to export as a GIF. Fun and easy, although I’d love some more features. I’ll admit I quickly plunked down a few dollars to buy some of the effects I really loved, but there were free ones too, and none are expensive. Maybe the first time I’ve spent money in an app.
