Every time they update this app, it goes wrong or it's simply terrible to operate. Eventually it gets better. If you screw it up, at least try to fix it quickly. Update: after painstakingly organising my listings in the order I want, yet again the developers manage to do an update that screws it all up again. Not for the first time. I would seriously question the competence of the people that run this company. It has the ingredients to be seriously good app. Another update: another update, now it doesn't open, and channels all screwed up again. Ha ha ha ha. Makes you wonder what types of numpty programmers work for this app. And what dolt owns it. Yet another update: I really don't know why I persevere with this app. The sheer incompetence of the people involved is staggering. It has many great features, but now it omits programme listings - seemingly at random. I have yet again had to re-sort the channels and not all channels have the correct programme number for Sky. So in essence I don't know what's on next and on what channel number. Quite ingenious for an app that's meant to tell you programs on next and on what channel number. So here we are again several years later after working ok. Now it doesn’t even load anything. I really like this when it works. Not sure I’d want to commit much money to this.
An app with much potential. Unfortunately the developers have tried to provide a wide range of features without overall success. The UI is a nightmare to use. The 'watchlist' and 'seen' features simply do not work as they should. Links to 'players' open the third party app, but not at the programmes chosen. The settings button is hidden where you are unlikely to find it. There is a lot of information available but mostly not easily found or easily used. A pity. Lacks a user guide. The motto is KISS.
This app is probably the best of a very bad bunch. What leads it to the top is simple: it has the right ideas and features, it just doesn’t execute them very well. I don’t want much from a TV guide app: the ability to select channels, reorder them and use a widget so I can see a list at a glance on my Home Screen. If that’s what you want too, you’re in luck. This app gives you that. Only, it sometimes forgets which channels you’ve selected. The widget gets stuck at 5am listings every day, only to reset around 7pm. And all of the logos are assigned to the wrong channel owing to that earlier ‘forgetting which channels you’ve selected’ error. It’s workable, just poor quality. The only thing that works well is the ability to switch between list and grid view. As for its other features, well they’re pretty janky too. The homepage tries to aggregate what’s on TV, but none of it is relevant. It also tells me I’ve seen things that I haven’t. The watchlist feature is unusable. And, for some reason, you have to scroll to the very bottom of a long homepage to find the settings (who puts the settings option there!?). Finally, you’ll be bombarded with adverts to try and force you to subscribe to the app. In theory, I’d have nothing against it if it actually delivered quality. The only thing that gets this app two stars instead of one is that it’s competitors are somehow even worse.
