I'm very happy with the app. Much easier than having to get my computer and pull up the website. There still are a couple of glitches, though. Before submitting the reservation, I went back to change pickup and drop off times. Did that fine but I couldn't get past the location screen because a message with a pink background at the top of the screen was telling me to enter an age. There was no place to enter the age. So I had to cancel out and restart the app and start all over again. This happened on several occasions. It wasn't just a one time thing. Also, it wouldn't let me enter my phone number but did allow me to continue UNTIL I hit SUBMIT. Then it said I needed to enter the phone number, which I was able to do without any serious consequences, but I just don't understand why I couldn't enter it the first time through. The field was not sensitive to my touch and didn't bring up the keyboard for entry. Fix the glitches and I'll give you five stars next time!

Every time I open the app I have to input my member number and password even though I have the “Remember Me” selected. I don’t have my Hertz member number memorized so when I’m in a hurry to check rates or book, instead of searching my emails for my member # or if I’m away from my laptop which has it saved, I just go look and/or book elsewhere like on United, which gives 2000 miles per Hertz booking booked on their website. Also, the app sometimes has an error asking for my birthday but nowhere to input it or the screen won’t load. Like I said, I love Hertz but I don’t love the app. Lastly, booking a vehicle at the time the location closes shouldn’t be an option. I booked a car in Puerto Rico at a time I could make after landing, without knowing the hours or the location. When I got to the location, prior to closing time, the attendant was gone. Had to manage without for the evening and come back the next day. Closing time probably shouldn’t be an available pick up time unless they have the Hop in and go system like some locations.

These things seem obvious. I accessed the app from a Spanish-speaking country and now the app thinks I want all of the information in Spanish. I don’t. Also, I may want to see my current or past reservations without digging through my emails. Update: Adding a credit card to your profile is impossible in the app, and ridiculous in the web site. I have different billing addresses for my credit cards. Sue me. Also, it appears you can’t select from multiple cards within the app. Maybe I don’t want to use the same credit card every time. At least the web site lets you choose a language. It does, however, think that Nicaragua/English is, in fact, Spanish. Also I couldn’t easily find United States or USA in the drop-down so I chose Australia and then Canada so I could complete my transaction in English.
