BetaShares Direct is honestly one of the best investing apps I’ve used. Everything feels simple, clean, and easy to understand, which makes investing feel a lot less complicated. The UI is beautiful, modern, and laid out in a way that actually makes sense, especially for someone focused on long-term ETF investing. The app gives you tonnes of useful information without making it feel overwhelming. You can see your holdings, performance, distributions, and investment details clearly, which makes it easier to stay consistent and understand what your money is doing. It feels like an app designed to help you build wealth properly, not just throw money into something without knowing what’s going on. I also really like the direction BetaShares seems to be heading with extra features and smarter tools. I’d love to see more genuinely useful AI features added in the future — not AI slop, but proper information that helps investors understand their portfolio, ETF exposure, performance, distributions, and long-term strategy. The app is already amazing and super simple to use. Even though it can be somewhat glitchy at times and still needs a few improvements, more features, and some extra polish, it’s clear they’re actively building something really strong. Overall, I love BetaShares Direct and think it’s a beautiful, practical, and genuinely useful investing platform.

Did IT & marketing not have a meeting? You cannot setup companies & trusts in the app, you select the entity type & it just loads …. and loads……forever. I’ve setup an individual easily so it’s not a connection issue. Betashares have had a big push to get everyone to register on the app (competition giveaway), you go to the website on iOS and it takes you to the app - so if your using mobile you cannot access the website. The registration pages for companies and trusts go nowhere… just spinning wheels indefinitely. I’ve tried 4 sessions/days to setup registered accounts or open off an individual and nothing on this app works for companies. What’s the point of driving traffic/ marketing promos if a % leave annoyed? The help page says use a desktop - I wonder how many people just waited and waited on an app loading screen of death. It literally crashes the app eventually. If it doesn’t work on the app, maybe just have a pop up that says you can’t do it in the app? Genuinely, so weird. I’m leaving annoyed for the 5th time. I’m only giving 2 stars because it seems ok for individual investor.

Great app and service. Very user friendly, easy to use, Autopilot very well laid out and clearly updates are rolling out frequently to improve the app which is nice to see (most recently adding in 2FA which should of been in from the start). As of right now I have two main criticisms. - Autopilot Portfolio, needs to display the amount of units held somewhere, currently only displays total dollar value. I know I can calculate it manually but that is annoying. - Autopilot Portfolio, if you elect to not have your portfolio rebalanced annually or quarterly, there needs to be a rebalance button to trigger a manual rebalance request. Currently the only way to manually trigger a rebalance is to change your portfolio allocation weighting which is inconvenient. To add to this, it would be nice if the app shows the current weighing of your portfolio so you can see in real time how much your portfolio has deviated due to market movements from your elected allocations.
