Ames Ride

App and Official cyride pamphlets are not accurate. The app will estimate a time when it believes a bus is in route, but the buses will pause at their initial route point and the app will not adjust its times accordingly. Specifically the 12 Lilac Route, has given arrival times for buses, but there either will not be a bus at that time, or it will remove the “arriving” bus from the map and move the time to another time slot for assumed arrival

This is better than any other bus time app I have used in London, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Copenhagen, Paris, Stockholm or really ever. It is simple, and ACCURATE. An improvement would be a way to see the seasonal schedule of each line/stop like they are listed on the CyRide website; this makes planning a return journey easier. Otherwise thank you for bringing this technology to our otherwise great bus system in little ol’ Ames Iowa.

Ames Ride has been very accurate for all busses I’ve taken, and shows their location on the app! Super easy user interface too. Highly recommend!
