My Optimum

I have been trying multiple times to fix the issue with my internet cutting out. It will just drop in the middle of classes and then we miss entire lessons because it will be out for hours. When I bring this up with customer service they tell me everything is working fine. They scheduled to have someone come out and take a look to try to figure out what is going on and they got it scheduled. Next day I waited all day and nobody called or showed up. Got onto the chat and they told me there was never an appointment scheduled. Good thing i took a screen shot of the appointment time and everything because after that they sent me a generated response and all communication messages were deleted off their txt service in the app. At this point i am canceling my service with them. Worst customer service i have ever experienced. Update: they replaced the modem, but I continue to have the same issues. It is extremely frustrating when this is the only service with speeds that can support my work and kids school where i live and it goes out for hours at a time multiple times in the day. I have missed hours of work because of this. Then there is the issue of emergency services. We have no access to any communication of any kind when this goes out and our cellphones do not work in the area where we live (very rural). They are finally sending out a tech (after complaining about this for 3months). So we will see if things improve after. We are lucky that no emergencies have happened in those times of no service.

(I like to pay when it is convenient for me) (I don’t believe it is the app but the internet service provider I have to deal with) Still unable to login, I decided to offload the app, turn my phone off then back on again, then I disabled the Wi-Fi and enabled it again, I reinstalled the app and now it works just fine. . The issue is back, even with the latest update. I’ve deleted the app, shutdown my phone, started my phone back up, downloaded the app and again the issue pursues. I even tried my previous remedy with no luck. I guess I’ll remove the app and start paying my bill on Optimum’s website. . It’s a shame that the app no longer works due to technical difficulties. ) ((Just figured out what the problem is, it’s because of my vpn, I decided to disable it to see what would happen and bingo, I have access to the app and to confirm, I re-enabled my vpn and I have technical difficulties once again. It looks like I have to disable my vpn long enough to use the app then re-enable it.))

More n more trying to be technology base but missing the human part, not all the time customers calling for technical support. After wasting at least 30 min you can reach to the customer support and half of the time you need another 10 minutes to explain the problem and hold and talk another 20 minutes. So calling optimum customer service you need an hour and you end being service by technician and some of them are worse specially with heavy accent ones and timings with attitude, show up before time and try to prove they are the best service provider. But don’t understand you show an hour before scheduled. If these things persist soon the people finds the options will replace the services. Hope this review helps your management.
