As former residents of Hutchinson, we really enjoy reading about what is going on in our formerly home town

I still enjoy reading the News even tho it is not nearly the paper it was several years ago. I realize newspapers are having a hard time financially but I miss reading stories from western Kansas, like we used to read. I still want to sit in a chair and hold the paper in my hands, not be hunched over a computer, but I realize most younger people want their news by email. There are problems with delivery which are frustrating to me and when you call about a problem, you can never get a live person on the phone. Sometimes progress isn’t good. But I still enjoy the paper and miss it when it doesn’t arrive.

I had stopped my subscription to the News a couple years ago but my wife wanted to try it again. We have the digital edition and it kind of burns me that the first thing you see when you open up the e-edition is an ad covering the front page that you have to X out of to read the paper that you are paying a subscription fee for. Not sure if I’ll renew.
