Credly

I have been getting into micro credentials lately and taking advantage of all the free or low-cost options, many of which result in Credly badges. The website is nice and has the useful transcript feature, but the app is so much better. The best function is the ease of searching for other trainings through Credly and the option to filter for free ones. The only improvements I would like to see are: - consistent badging graphics (circle badges have to fit into square placeholders) - folders so I can organize credentials by category, issuer, importance, etc. - a search feature like the app has for the website

Because I'm a member of a certain organization that issues a badge on Credly, it is assumed that I possess certain skills that someone – probably in the organization – thinks are necessarily prerequisites of membership in that organization when in fact this is not the case at all. So now I have several skills attributed to me which I do not in fact possess, and I can't figure out how to get rid of them other than by rejecting the badge in question. So that's a bit of an issue. I also find the usefulness of this app questionable; before I joined the aforementioned organization, I had never heard of Credly, nor have I ever encountered it through any other means other than through the aforementioned organization, which makes me wonder if anyone actually refers to this app to gauge someone's suitability for a given position or whether it's in fact nothing more than an ego boost for the holders of these badges. But in the end, not being one to beat my chest and bellow, "LOOK AT MEEEEE!!!", it doesn't matter to me either way.
