LiveWire S2

Basically the title… When the app works, it does exactly what you need it to do without any crazy bells and whistle (which I personally like), but sometimes for seemingly no apparent reason, the app can like “disconnect” or not sync with your S2. So instead of reading, “last synced 8 seconds ago” it’ll say, “last synced 8 hours ago” and show the bike as it was in that time. It’s frustrating and I don’t know why it happens. If they fixed that this app would be perfect.

Opened app to monitor bike charging. My phone battery was LOSING charge while plugged into charger. Opened settings/battery and at the top of the list for usage was the Livewire S2 app. The only way to stop the drain was to close the app and restart my phone. Edit: the latest, and forced, update (1.4.0) broke the app completely. Now I just get “error” in a box with “ok” to confirm when launching the app. Doesn’t connect to the bike now. Edit #2 I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. This made me have to log back in…. Which fixed the problem. The notes in this version (1.4.0) say you need to logout and log back in. This would be nice to know before updating.

This app should allow user to control bike charge settings. I have used other apps (Rivian) where you can set a schedule and charge percentage target. It is tedious to constantly be changing the target charge percentage by scrolling through to the very last screen page in the settings menu on the actual bike to make that adjustment. At least have the option on the initial settings screen so we don’t have to scroll to the last choice. I have to do this twice daily and have to physically plug it in after 9pm every night. Other apps have all these controls conveniently on the app, no need to plug unplug and use the bike menu. This and fixing the “fuse pull reboot” when the app stops syncing would make this a 4 star app. Thank you!
