The Encounter

First, let me say that this app has been part of my day for almost a year now. I’ve loved getting to know the prayers. And the free app is a wonderful blessing. However…after the app updated, it’s no longer a simple prayer app (which I had admired), there is now a menu of ministry items. I dislike that there’s now an ad for a book at the end of every session of prayers. A couple suggestions for devs moving forward: 1. Ability to view previous day’s prayers. Sometimes I get home from work after midnight and want to pray the previous day’s evening prayers before bed. 2. Turn off the auto play on the prayers. Can’t find how to do that in the new app. 3. Remove prayer book ad from daily prayer readings. 4. More background music options would be lovely. Still a great benefit to my walk with the Lord. St. Philip the Evangelist, pray for us!

I love how each day has separate devotions and prayers, it makes it feel alive. And being able to hear the gospel and epistle for each day is wonderful. Along with this, the app offers spoken prayers, like evening, morning, and even midday prayers that have people read them. One small issue I have with the app is the classical music that plays no matter what, It becomes very annoying if I want to pray, as to my knowledge there is no way to disable to music. Other than this, the app offers great selections of prayers, for every occasion during the day to day life. It does feel very personal, and though I haven’t used the feature yet, you are able to send prayer requests to the people who develop the app.

This is a very fine app in general, however,there are a few bugs and inconsistencies that are annoying. One reason I am writing this review is because the feedback button does not work, at least not more than once. I gave positive feedback when I first downloaded and used the app. Since then, it doesn't work. If I were to be contacted, I would gladly give additional details rather than bleating on here because I do truly like and use this app.
