I’ve had a very frustrating experience using this app. I mainly switched because the default record volume while using the iPhone’s camera app is very low. Switching to this app caused a lot of problems. The white balance constantly gets out of whack, causing a forced restart. The video quality overall is lower for some reason which is an odd default setting. It also keeps telling me I’m out of storage when I have dozens of GB left on my device. Hard to recommend this.

I installed this app to work with my AI-Micro interface, and that works great. but then I used it in the field with my built-in mic, and after a few successful videos the audio was entirely missing. I reproduced this problem at home: if, before you record, you don’t see audio levels, DO NOT RECORD as it will capture video but no audio! I will be more careful next time, but this seems like a bug.

There are complaints that the app requires you to allow location tracking. That was not my experience. It DOES bring you to a page to enable access to your mic and your camera and then there IS a button for location tracking. BUT, when you click on it you are presented with the usual three options of Always On, Allow While Using App, and Never. I choose Never and it still seems to work just fine. I would second the request for the app to recall your last settings. Also, I would find it more useful if I could choose 2 of the forward facing cameras, like Double Take allows, rather than having one forward and one selfie cam.
