iFunny X - hot memes & videos

I've been using the OG iFunny for the better part of 6 years. I haven't updated it in 4 years. About a month ago iFunny just stopped working, very likely due to them cutting off old version support. I had heard so many bad things about new updates so I downloaded this version instead just in case the updates were *that* awful. Immediately after 1 post I was hit with a double ad about downloading iFunny X, the app I was using. About 4 posts later I was hit with 2 porn ads. There's about 1 ad per 3 comments on each post. After ~ 2 days of using the app it has completely stopped working. Opening comments by swiping down doesn't work, clicking on the comments button ALSO doesn't work, and half the time the UI doesn't even show up. Tried to reopen the app to see if that would fix it but the app crashed on the first post immediately after. If you're contemplating updating iFunny don't. The ads alone are ridiculously overkill and annoying. The app itself doesn't work either. Wait to see if OG iFunny will fix older versions or just give the app up because these updates are atrocious.

I love the app, but if I delete a message without opening it it still shows I have a message to open in the drop down menu. But I can’t get the number to disappear now because I removed the chat please fix this if you can?

iFunny OG has over the years become a cesspool of low IQ right wing propaganda (a term which I don’t use lightly) and blatant racism, sexism, and overall negativity. iFunny X provides a decent alternative to the app by removing the incessant politics, racism, and misogyny. It even allows you to connect your old account with the app. Honestly, scrolling through the memes and seeing little to no negativity brought a huge sigh of relief to me. Not to mention the interface is verbatim the same one from the OG, so it’s literally iFunny without the toxic community. It’s almost a dream come true. There’s only one slight problem: the featured section. My main gripe is that most of the features seem to date somewhere around early 2021, meaning you’ll see meme references that are pretty dated, though not overwhelmingly so. You can still find up to date items in the collective or through the search function, so it’s not too much of an issue, but the main draw is the featured section and up to date memes would be appropriate. And honestly, I’ll take out of date memes that may verge a bit on being vanilla over constantly hearing about how Trump is still president, how Biden is the spawn of Satan, etc. iFunny X is an example of what iFunny can be when done right. If the OG could take example from this, it might be the meme Haven it once was. Until then, I guess let the racists and bigots have their echo chamber. Someone’s going to destroy it sooner or later.
