Killing Kiss : BL story game

*UPDATE* So the developer said to contact them through game app which I was going to do but ended up not doing. I don’t know if the game just glitched or randomly decided it wanted to start working again but I went back to the game a few hours after experiencing my issue (see original review below) & it all of a sudden wasn’t stuck anymore. I’ve been able to continue so far with no further issues. I spent money to buy the $12 pack because I enjoy it & wanted to support the developers but this game can absolutely be played without spending real money. You can earn free gems from logging in each day as well as watching an ad every 10 minutes for more. Also, you can only get each puzzle piece & complete the puzzle & claim the reward 1 time so once you’ve done that make sure you trade in any extra puzzle pieces you get for each number beyond the 1 you need to complete it make sure you trade those extra pieces for more gems. You can trade 5 pieces of puzzle for 30 gems!! 😲 Spend the 99 cents to remove the ads, by the way. Totally 100% worth it! *Original Review* This game was awesome & pulled me into the story right away, at first anyways. I spent $13 on the pack of gems that came with 4 gifts & was playing the game & enjoying the premium story choices & pictures fine until episode 3. I’m stuck & the game won’t progress any further. I spent 50 gems to select the premium choice “I’m more curious about the cop” and it shows an affection increase with Layden but instead of continuing the story it’s stuck on that screen with the choices. I tried exiting out to the main menu & starting the chapter over but it didn’t help. I keep tapping the premium choice (which is now free because the game recognizes I already bought it before) & every time I tap the choice the little affection meter with Lauren’s face appears & shows the little green hearts but the story won’t continue. I’m afraid to try deleting the app & reinstalling because I don’t know if I’ll lose the gems I purchased with real money or not. I really want to continue playing this game.😕

EDIT… I made a review a couple days ago but I have since finished one of the routes and have some stuff to add/change. I still maintain that they push you to purchase packs. I will say however that the price isn’t terrible and ad removal is a game changer. I only needed to buy one double diamond pack with ad removal to play through the entire game with all characters love meters maxed out by the end(missions and puzzle pieces are your best friends). The story itself was fun but I ran across a few issues. Firstly, sometimes I feel like the story is missing scenes. Characters will make reference to things that I don’t think ever happened or at least didn’t happen on screen. It makes things confusing at times. Secondly,⚠️ Trigger warning ⚠️, more than one of the love interests end up sexually assaulting and one even raping Ryu(looking at you Clark🤢). It doesn’t matter what choices you make, it’s unavoidable. Then afterwards Ryu still interacts with them far more casually than he should. It’s trying to straddle the line of romantic and abusive and personally I found it uncomfortable. The only character that consistently respected and cared for Ryu was Hazel but they did him so dirty. Spoilers— I don’t even know how he ended up in the finale, there was never a scene of us finally giving him the vaccine or picking him up from Mark’s place. He’s just suddenly there unconscious at the broadcasting station if you choose his ending 😭Anyways, it was fun and the art was really nice, I also like how easy to navigate their user interface is. I just wish the characters and story were a little more polished at times.

Also hot anime-esque guys, woo! I can’t get enough of this game! Sure not everything makes sense all the time but it’s such a great romp of a story... and I like the choices you get to make for different outcomes. This type of visual novel style I absolutely love, and the artwork is insanely delicious and detailed. Also, everytime I played through, a new layer of perception or angle would unfold... one minute I think I know what’s going on and another everything changes. One minute I think Ryu has fallen for someone, and the next it’s anyone’s chess game. Seriously fun. In a “comes with guns and danger” thing, my fave. I was suffering in the beginning with the gems thing to progress but then I got one of the packages, because the developers, writers and artists really deserve it. Hope you guys continue to update this... Would LOVE to see a whole Ryu sequel for the hidden ending! Note to the devs and publishing company for improvements: Would be more professional to add a credits section giving everyone proper credit for the hard work they’ve done. If you could please add a link to email only option within the game settings it would be helpful for those like me who wants to try out the game but couldn’t go back to start over linking it without losing all my gems.
