Coachbetter: Soccer Coaching

The UI is not reactive and has consistent latency. The amount of times I see the “write a review” button is annoying and gets to the point where I can’t use the app without it populating every 15 seconds on certain areas of the main page. Well here you go coachbetter. Here is your 3-star rating. Stop showing up on my screen.

Coachbetter was an invaluable tool for us this season for our clubs as we ran a youth soccer league for over 400 players across 10 clubs. The platform allowed us to deliver weekly training plans directly to our coaches every week ahead of training, eliminating the guesswork and helping coaches show up prepared and confident. The attendance tracking feature gave coaches real-time visibility into who was coming each Saturday, and the Club News feature allowed us to push league-wide updates and weather cancellations to all families instantly. Onboarding over 400 families and 30 coaches in a short window was seamless, and the platform’s intuitive design made adoption easy across all experience levels. Coachbetter is now a permanent part of how we operate and we would recommend it without hesitation to any youth sports organization looking to streamline operations and elevate the coaching experience.

this might be the worst app i’ve ever seen for sports. i’ve used snap, SportsEngine, demosphere, and crossbar. all have, at a minimum, features like calendar syncing, access to account info, and settings to control what you share or show about yourself. while this app can “access” your calendar, you have to add every event individually, which does nothing if any practice changes or anything gets added and you aren’t constantly checking the app against your calendar for updates. the other attributes don’t even exist. unacceptable. since it doesn’t provide any information or access to your account info (adding authorized viewers, family info, etc), i figured, maybe the app is still a work in progress, so i’ll try the website. but the website banner is clear: “For full experience use Coachbetter on your desktop computer or tablet”. are you kidding!!? what decade is this? this is the worst product i’ve ever seen for team management and player coordination.
