I love VS and I can’t emphasize enough how great their customer service is. However, I’ve noticed a couple glitchy things since the apps last update. 1. When expanding the description of the product, the summary and details is cut off on the screen. I can only read half of each sentence. 2. Products default to standard edition instead of special slipcover editions. I’ve almost ordered the standard edition multiple times now because of this and have had to be more diligent with making sure I’ve selected the proper edition before adding it to my cart. I’m afraid it’s just a matter of time before I accidentally order the standard edition as a result of this. Again VS is awesome and I love what they’re doing for physical media! Just a couple minor issues with their app is app! Keep up the awesome content!
I’m still pretty new to the app and Vinegar Syndrome in general, but I have never experienced an issue with browsing the app’s vast catalog of products, nor have I encountered any errors in placing orders. All of their movies and merchandise can be easily found either through the myriad of categories or through the app’s own search bar—simple and straightforward, just how you would want a shopping app to be! I will say this though: it is a little frustrating that the app does not display the available quantity of a product anywhere when you select it. If it can do so on the actual Vinegar Syndrome website, why not the app too? With how much demand many VS products can have, it would be nice to have the counter just so the guests can get an idea of just how sought-after something might be. Nothing is worse than underestimating how quickly a product will sell out, and then you find out all too late that you miscalculated and missed your opportunity.
When it comes to film preservation of the era of the VHS boom, Vinegar Syndrome are true heroes. As a lover of B-movies, VS puts forth an incredible selection of masterfully remastered films that time wishes people would forget, and what’s more is that they produce them with the best packaging of any distributor I’ve ever seen with custom artwork and pristine slip covers. Their app works perfectly and works perfectly as a loyalty tool to help keep me coming back for more as a valued customer. Keep up the great work, VS team!!
